Are We There Yet?

Are We There Yet?
This is the sign that is over the front door of Aileen's and my house, our home, going OUT. Meaning that when someone leaves our house they are going into the ACTUAL Mental Ward.

I've always felt that way. When it is considered how much ugliness and killing and hatred there is in the world today, it actually makes perfect sense that this sign is over the door going out of the house.

Because that's where the real mental ward is.

Left-Handed Luck

One of the most significant things I learned from my darling Aileen was something called, left-handed luck.  Before, I had met and fallen in love with my darling Aileen, I used to look at my life is having either.  Good luck or bad luck, depending on the situation and the circumstance.  But Aileen showed me this evening when bad things happen that there really is a reason.  Because it actually gives you the opportunity to learn something more from what happened there, which I sort of already knew.  What she also used to say and I believe still does, that only when you fall down.  Are you able to learn how to stand up better.
Well that is very true.  Because initially I was thinking that the drain in the bathroom addition, downstairs being clogged in the shower was really very bad luck.  But it turns out really not to be the case.  And the reason why is because now I'm actually having to go upstairs to use the bathroom.  Which I was already doing in the mornings and when I take a shower.  Now I'm having to do with much more frequently.  And as a result, my legs are getting stronger.  My ankles are getting stronger.  My hips are beginning to actually gain some strength and mobility.  And my posture is even getting better.  Not to mention the fact that my metabolism is increasing and I'm becoming healthier all the way around.  Because I'm actually going up and down those stairs between 10 and 15 times a day.  And sometimes more.  And that's a relatively sizable amount of exercise.
So, my darling Aileen was right.  But she always was.  We both were, when it came to each other.  Just as we are now.  So the point of this particular Journal entry is to remind people that no matter how dark or how negative things might look at the current moment.  Then there is always really in reality, something very positive lurking in the background.  So all you have to do is remember that is something negative does in fact happen or come about.  That it really is nothing more than an opportunity to find something positive in what is actually taking place.  If you can do that.  You are actually discovering the meaning of, left-handed luck.
Thank you very much for listening.
