Are We There Yet?

Are We There Yet?
This is the sign that is over the front door of Aileen's and my house, our home, going OUT. Meaning that when someone leaves our house they are going into the ACTUAL Mental Ward.

I've always felt that way. When it is considered how much ugliness and killing and hatred there is in the world today, it actually makes perfect sense that this sign is over the door going out of the house.

Because that's where the real mental ward is.

High-stakes trial resumes over 2010 Gulf oil spill

High-stakes trial resumes over 2010 Gulf oil spill

Boldly when we as human beings are prepared to stop arguing about who is to blame for these ecological disasters where we are showing all our collective refusal to be responsible regarding all workers to leadership of this world.  Only when we are willing to stop blaming each other for why it is happening and begin to take actions to prevent it from happening.  Only then will we as human beings ever really take responsibility that is ours.  To be custodians of this world.  To protect this world for future generations.

All over this world, environmental disasters are happening every single day, in varying degrees.  But under no circumstances are we ever going to have any kind of meaningful discussion regarding environmental damage that we are doing to this planet.  Just like we are not going to have any kind of meaningful discussion regarding any potential climate change or possible global warming process that may be taking place.  Because collectively we do not have the strength of will.  And we do not have the strength of character.  Nor do we have the sense of responsibility to clean up all were own mass.  To take responsibility for the custodianship of this world, which is exactly one of our major responsibilities as human beings and as one of the animal species in this world.

(For support and source documentation, and further reading, please see my "See Also:" section below.)

And as long as all we do is argue about who is to blame without ever really taking actions to fix these problems.  The problems will continue to not be resolved or fixed.  It's as simple as that.

The problem of course is that we as human beings are beginning to run out of time.  The amount of damage that we have done to this world, in conjunction with, and in addition to, the damage that our world is sustaining or has sustained as a result of simply our world becoming older, is getting were becoming much more severe.

And either humanity will basically put up and shut up and stop arguing about who is at fault for these environmental disasters and begin to take action and actions to sacred duty as custodians to each other and to this world.  Or the problems will get worse.  And as they get worse the environment will become much more difficult in which to survive.

But it's all about money.  That's all anyone ever wants to talk about.  Because nobody ever really wants to talk about the real problems of what is going on in our world.  No one really wants to take responsibility for what we humans have done to this world and what we are doing to it every day.  And so the problems never really get resolved.  It's all about money.  It's all about casting blame.  Because nobody really wants to take any serious action.

(For support and source documentation, and further reading, please see my "See Also:" section below.)

And what is even more disastrous is that the people who are actually causing a lot of these environmental problems are also the people who are controlling any effort or efforts to resolve those problems.  And so as a result, only on the surface doesn't appear like anything is getting done.  Because underneath the surface virtually nothing is getting done.

In the space of one single week we humans will generate more waste than all of the entire animal kingdom will generate in an entire year.  We humans have generated enough waste in this world where we have complete islands made of plastic that are destroying animal species and actually raising the level of toxicity in our oceans.  And yet everyone is more concerned about who is to blame rather than actually taking any actions.

Nobody wants to admit that what is taking place is actually happening.

And like I always say, the one question that comes back to my mind, which has been inside of me all of my life is simply this.

(For support and source documentation, and further reading, please see my "See Also:" section below.)

Who is the one who is stupid?  Is the child who is putting their finger into a Dyke to prevent a flood stupid?  Or are the people walking by that child and laughing at that child would their finger in the Dyke to prevent a flood, the ones who are stupid?

Either we start dealing with these problems now and stop making excuses and stop trying to blame each other.  Or these problems will continue to the unresolved and what we will give our children and future generations is not a world that can build upon.  The world that they will have to fix.  And that is not the kind of proper legacy that we as sentient human beings and custodians of this world should be in fact giving to our children and future generations.  Not if we want to be honest about our responsibility as one of the animal species on this planet.  And more specifically the animal species who are sentient beings who have the ability to make things better than to make things worse.
