Are We There Yet?

Are We There Yet?
This is the sign that is over the front door of Aileen's and my house, our home, going OUT. Meaning that when someone leaves our house they are going into the ACTUAL Mental Ward.

I've always felt that way. When it is considered how much ugliness and killing and hatred there is in the world today, it actually makes perfect sense that this sign is over the door going out of the house.

Because that's where the real mental ward is.

Dramatic collision in Southern Ocean leaves anti-whaling boat damaged

Dramatic collision in Southern Ocean leaves anti-whaling boat damaged

As I just said in my previous Journal entry.  The longer that we humans make excuses about, who is to blame for any ecological problems or disasters that may in fact take place.  The worst those problems will become.  The story is a very clear illustration of that segment of humanity that there is very little for the custodianship that all of us have as being participants of the human race and as one of the animal species on this planet.  But more specifically, the one single animal species that is sentient.  Meaning that we have the carpet of ability within our brains to make choices whereby those choices can in fact improve things rather than to make them worse.

And yet we continually make choices in order to justify the construction that we do to each other and to this world.  And we do so never really taking into account the ramifications of those choices upon our children and future generations.

If we were not doing what I have just said, then this news item would not be a news story.

Peter we as humans in this world will accept the responsibility that we have as custodians of each other and over this planet of which we are one of the animal species of who are living on this planet and in this world.  Either we accept our responsibility as custodians.  Or the conditions environmentally will become a great deal worse.  And the ramifications from those worse and environmental conditions will be things or conditions that our children will have to fix.

And again, I asked the question.  Why should we as sentient beings spend most of our time arguing and blaming each other for the environmental problems that are taking place rather than to band together to fix those problems for the express purpose of giving our children and future generations a world that they do not have to fix.  But to give them a world they can build upon?

I've made my choice.  I've spent my life supporting that choice.  Just like these extremely courageous individuals trying to protect the whales in the oceans.

It's not funny.  It may be funny at this time.  Because all we are in our modern age is concerned more about money than we are about anything else.  But at one point it will no longer be funny.  Because at one point, the environmental damage and the loss of animal species in our world will become so great that.  Environmentally speaking, survival in our world will become a great deal more difficult.  And we will have no one to blame for that except ourselves.

As I said.  I've made my choice.

Now it's your turn.  What choice will you make?
