Are We There Yet?

Are We There Yet?
This is the sign that is over the front door of Aileen's and my house, our home, going OUT. Meaning that when someone leaves our house they are going into the ACTUAL Mental Ward.

I've always felt that way. When it is considered how much ugliness and killing and hatred there is in the world today, it actually makes perfect sense that this sign is over the door going out of the house.

Because that's where the real mental ward is.

System Update: Compehensive

Dragon NaturallySpeaking

Dragon NaturallySpeaking (Photo credit: Wikipedia)

Windows 7:

I just received a really brilliant, from one of my readers.  And as they have explained Windows 8 seems to be basically a, as they call it, re-skin, of Windows 7 .  But the significant thing is that they reported that when they migrated to version 12 of Dragon NaturallySpeaking that there seemed to be issues whereby version 12 was continually crashing in Windows 8.  This of course makes extremely logical sense.  Because those of you who actually have been using Dragon NaturallySpeaking for a while will remember that when Dragon NaturallySpeaking version 10 came out, it was about the same time that Windows Vista was having all those problems.  And when version 10 came out it was like almost a nightmare to use with Windows Vista.

So that everyone immediately got on board with Windows 7.  And yet still because of the GUI.  Version 10 was having just a myriad of issues.  So then nuance finally moved forward and released version 10.5, which was really extremely compatible with Windows 7.  Until Microsoft then changed IE 9 with an update, whereby the context menus were no longer completely compatible with Dragon NaturallySpeaking version 10.5.

At which point nuance then released to the version 10.5 customers a reduced priced version 11.  Which then resolved the GUI problems with Windows 7 and the menus.  At which point Microsoft then released Windows 7 service pack 1.  So then of course nuance released Dragon NaturallySpeaking version 11.5.  And finally, at that point Dragon NaturallySpeaking version 11.5 was up to speed with Windows 7 service pack 1 and IE 9 with all of the updates.

So in reality it really does appear that the best move for those of us who are using Dragon NaturallySpeaking 11.5.  And considering going over to Windows 8.  Not do so.  If we are of course using Dragon NaturallySpeaking and need to do so.  Because what really needs to take place is that for those of us who are using Dragon NaturallySpeaking 11.5.  We need to wait until nuance releases the update to version 12, which they probably will, within about six months after Windows 8 has been out and the GUI interface problems are more discoverable.

I really have to laugh.  The computer environment is changing so dramatically.  And so fast that nuance ends up always being a day behind and a dollar short almost because of the C runtime routine that Dragon NaturallySpeaking users.  Which of course relates to and is synchronized with the GUI.  And so consequently, in Windows 8.  The main issue that has been changed of course is the GUI.

This goes back to what I have said all along.  That in reality the major players need to stop trying to compete with each other, and need to work with each other.  Because with this kind of competition that is going on.  The users, meaning all of us, our basically being caught in the cross wires whereby as a result were running into compatibility issues with a hugely important programs such as Dragon NaturallySpeaking.  In my opinion it's just not the way that business should be done.  It should in fact be more synchronized.  It should not be this back and forth kind of competition.  Because it's just frustrating the users.  Meaning, of course to consumers.

I am immensely grateful to the newsreader for coming forth with this information.  This is exactly what all of us need.  And it actually does make a lot of sense.  But Microsoft is basically doing is that they are maintaining the core tiny mechanisms that exist inside Windows 7 and basically updating or changing the GUI in order to accommodate or to redefine the GUI in such a way so that the OS can actually be used not only on the desktop.  It also a laptop or android/smart phone.

And yet Microsoft comes out with all this flash about how it's going to change everything.  When in reality it's, as this reader has pointed out, nothing more than a kind of re-skin of Windows 7.  How typically Microsoft.

So my advice actually is that if someone is using Dragon NaturallySpeaking 11.5 and considering going to Windows 8.  I would suggest that people hold off on going to Windows 8.  If they are using Dragon NaturallySpeaking 11.5.  Until nuance gets up to speed and releases enough data version 12 which they've done in the past of course.  Because then at that point Dragon NaturallySpeaking version 12 with the update, which will probably be Dragon NaturallySpeaking version 12.5.  Will then actually be synchronized with the Windows 8 GUI.

On the one hand, it makes me shake my head.  And on the other hand, it just makes me laugh.

I have gone through an updated to a great extent the face page of the Journal.  I have increased the threshold for Journal entries to 500.  Which is the limit that blogger applies to the number of Journal entries on anyone given page.  But I did that because there are so many side panels of resource information on the page of the Journal.  So my advice to all of you as my readers is as you are going down through the Journal entries realize that there is a whole huge section below the last entry of other side panels of resource information.  And I just know that a lot of that information will be valuable to you.  Because it's got news stories and government links and a host of other good resource information that you can actually use in your own research and so forth.

In an ideal world I would probably push the limit or the number of Journal entries on the page up to about 700 I should think.  Which would then bring the Journal entries down to the same level as where the bottom of the side panels on the face page are located.  But the fact is that because the whole page is basically written in HTML 5.  Even though the number of entries on the page is now up to the level of 500 per page.  The page actually loads incredibly fast and IE, meaning IE 9.  So the increased number of Journal entries should not be a problem.  But just realizes you are getting down toward the bottom or the last Journal entry on the face page that their are those other side panels of resource information going on below all the way to the very bottom of the page.

My intention actually was exactly this.  Because I wanted to provide as much resource and nation to you, my readers, as possible.  Because I understand and really do appreciate how tedious it is to continually have to do repeated searches in order to find exactly what you're looking for.  So with the side panels you have a huge amount of news story and resource information right at your fingertips.  Which is so incredibly vital if you're trying to do or complete any kind of project where you may need a quick reference.

Additionally, I have expanded the side panel, which holds my significant Journal entries to list seven.  The of my most significant Journal entries.  The Journal is expanding exponentially.  So I'm trying to choose those entries which I believe based on how many of you are viewing particular entries actually would then qualify as being one of my more significant Journal entries.

I'm sorry for the slight disproportionate aspect of where the Journal entries and as compared to where the side panels and.  But again, like I said.  I'm trying to provide as much resource information to you as possible.  It becomes incredibly tedious on the Internet to continually have to go back to a search engine to do repeated searches looking for the particular link you are trying to locate in order to complete a project or a research paper or an article.  Sometimes that's the part of the whole process that can basically drive you nuts.  So at least that's my intention.

My Public Declaration:

I have moved my Public declaration further back in time so that it is now further down in the listings of my Journal entries.  What I have also done is to include a link to my Public declaration inside my biographical profile , where it is specifically pertinent, regarding my operation in 1968.  That way the Journal can move forward chronologically without having some disclaimer at the very front.  Which I understand can be again tedious.

I'm still laughing about this GUI issue regarding Windows 8 in Dragon NaturallySpeaking.  12.  Sometimes as a user we end up feeling like were in a revolving door.  Just trying to grab hold of the railing so we can get out and keep going forward.  You end up wondering if these companies are actually trying to do battle with each other or whether or not they are actually paying attention.

Going back to IE 9 with Dragon NaturallySpeaking 11.5 was actually one of the best decisions I've made.  Especially in addition to simplifying the system.  Because the entire interface issue with Dragon NaturallySpeaking 11.5 has completely been eliminated.  But that's also because it has become immensely clear to me that using any kind of temporary file cleaner or registry cleaner with Dragon NaturallySpeaking is probably just not a good idea.  Just like it's not a good idea to use any kind of system management utility program with Dragon NaturallySpeaking.  Because Dragon being so huge and such a primary driver in the Windows 7 OS.  Dragon really needs to be completely left alone.

I mean the utilities that maintain the temporary files and registry is are really excellent program.  Of course, there are really crummy programs out there.  But there are a few that are absolutely fantastic.  Such as advanced system care professional.  But at the same time.  Like I said, Dragon NaturallySpeaking is such a huge program and is so interrelated with the entire Windows 7 OS.  That using any kind of utility program for maintaining the temporary files or memory or managing the system or even dealing with the registry is just not a good idea.  Because there are always complications that surface.

I'm immensely grateful to this reader for bringing this up.  Because it really is information that all of us can use regarding where we are with Windows 7 and considerations we might be making about going forward toward Windows 8.

So it's now 5:06 AM.  Oh joy.  Another day is beginning.  Great.  I wonder what my horoscope will say today.  Someone once told me that you only have to worry if your horoscope says something like, forsake all hope and run for your life.  I used to tell my darling Aileen that if I saw that in my horoscope, I would probably stop reading my horoscope.

At least it's going to be worm here in Cleveland.  All away through Wednesday it's going to be like in the mid and upper 50s.  And for November that's just splendid.

Thank you very much for listening.

      Child Poverty Statistics:

    • 25,000 children die each day from poverty
    • 1041 children die every hour due to poverty
    • 17 children die every minute from poverty
    • 750,000 children die every month from poverty
    • 9,000,000 children die every year from poverty

    Child mortality Statistics:

    • 9.2 million children die every year
    • 780,000 children die every month
    • 26,000 children die every day
    • 18 children die every minute

An estimated 9.2 million children under the age of five will die this year – nearly 26,000 per day or 18 every minute. This is greater than the annual number of deaths from 1. AIDS (2 million), malaria (900,000), and tuberculosis (1.5 million) combined. 2. Neonatal disorders, pneumonia and diarrhea are the major causes of under-five mortality.

Globally, 80 percent of all child deaths are due to only a handful of causes: neonatal causes, pneumonia, diarrhea, and malaria. 3. Pneumonia or sepsis, pre-term delivery, and asphyxia at birth are the leading causes of neonatal deaths. Malnutrition is responsible for over a third of child deaths.

And, according to recent United States statistics, there are approximately 43,000 suicides that take place, in the United States every single year. That would be one suicide taking place, by children as young as 12, or possibly younger, up to our oldest citizens. Approximately every 15 minutes.

Not one single penny that the pro-life movement spends on their so-called pro-life movement goes toward saving any of these “living” children’s lives. Not one single cent. Which means that not one single cent of the so-called pro-life movement is being used to save any of the amazing children and absolutely fantastic women, and men, who are being killed, or suffering horribly, every single minute. so naturally, it becomes impossible to conclude that the pro-life movement is pro-life at all, if they will not even save the lives of living children and men and women. But will always only be concerned with, and define life as the “fetus” only. And THAT’S NOT how their own God Jesus Christ defines life, in their own Bible.

Which means that the pro-life movement is not pro-life at all. Because their money is “not” going to save any living life on this planet. Their money is only going toward forcing women to bear children against their will. And that’s not how their own God, Jesus Christ defines pro-life.

If The Almighty will not allow the smallest sparrow to fall from the sky, why, should we, the creations of that same Almighty, do any less?

With 78% of the population of the United States being Christian, (US Religious Demographic Statistics ) that also means that 78% of all the:

incidents that take place every year, are committed by approximately 78% of the population, meaning people who claim to be Christians. (US Religious Demographic Statistics ). And that is something that the Christian conservatives , and those who are Catholics, never seem to want to discuss, and in many, if not , cases, will lie about. Unless they are forced to do so, and/or tell the truth, in a court of law.

And again, their own God, Jesus Christ says in their own Bible, not to judge anyone, and not to hurt anything that God makes. That’s anything. So, these statistics are really meant to illustrate about being responsible for one’s own choices and actions. That would be, in their own Bible, free-will choices and free-will actions.

    My Statement On Religion

For the record, I do not now, nor have I ever hated any human being on earth. I do not hate, regarding my spirituality, and spiritual beliefs, anything that God did make. Meaning that I do not hate the “humanity” that exists within any human being. However, God did not make the personal choices that humans make, regarding how they behave, and/or present themselves, to the world. So if a human being chooses, of their own free will to demonstrate their behavior with racism, bigotry, prejudice, and hatred for other humans, on the basis of their own free will choice as to how they define their spirituality within themselves, that is their own choice. So I do not hate any human being for being that which God did make. I hate only the choices and the manner in which humans have decided to demonstrate their behavior to one another. I do not hate religion. However, I will never give my support to “any” religion, that has ever caused harm to, or killed, a single human being, in any way, as a result of the religion demonstrating, or manifesting it’s presence in the world. If any religion has ever harmed or killed a single human being, I respect the right of all humans to believe what they want in life. I, personally, will under no circumstances give my support for any religion, or theological belief, that has ever harmed or killed even a single human being. This is what I have dedicated my life to as a spiritualist and a pacifist here on earth. So any attempt by anyone to portray me as hating anyone is a lie. Because that is not so. The foregoing clearly shows that I have no hatred for humankind or for any religion.

    My Pro-Life Statement

For the record, I am pro-life . I do not support violence against, or the killing of any human being under any circumstances! And the only way that I ever deviate from that stand is that I do not believe that God has ever given any human the right to dictate to any woman how she is to arbitrate her life with the Almighty, and/or God . Therefore, I believe that all women deserve the right to choose for themselves the fate of their own bodies, pursuant to their relationship with the Almighty, and/or God . My position regarding this statement is more fully explained in my article entitled: Second Gear.
